You will join us to create innovative marketing strategies, increase brand awareness and reputation, drive footfall, sales activity and revenue. You will build relationships with our globally famous vendor partners. You will be responsible for making us earn customers respect in every market we play in.

Within our Multichannel function you will provide leadership to a strong team of Ecommerce professionals whilst implementing strategies to effectively trade both of our brands’ websites.

Job Summary

Whilst holding overall accountability for both Marketing and Multichannel this role will combine, analysis, strategy and leadership whilst formulating trading tactics, marketing campaigns and brand messaging.

This role will bring Leadership, ECommerce Expertise and Marketing Innovation to the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and coordinate departmental efforts
  • Develop and communicate the marketing and multichannel strategy and plans at management level and cross-functionally
  • Formulate and execute customer focussed strategies and plans to maximise sales and net profit
  • Accelerate innovation, growth and profitability through industry-leading activities
  • Be the brand ambassador and guardian for both Dixons Carphone brands across multiple channels
  • Build brand awareness
  • Manage both external agencies and media partners ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship
  • Effectively monitor and manage marketing and multichannel costs and budgets
  • Lead and motivate the Marketing and Multichannel teams through sharing the overall strategy, communication, goal setting and by personal example
  • Mentor and coach your colleagues to exceed business and personal objectives
  • Provide strong leadership to a passionate team, fostering a team of engaged and motivated professionals
  • Provide long-term strategic guidance for the marketing teams across online and offline channels, whilst being attuned to short-term tactical activities
  • Contribute positively to an organisation who is actively creating a culture to bring the business into the future

Experience

  • Proven track record of developing, executing and measuring Marketing and E-commerce strategies and plans in a similar role
  • First-hand knowledge of how to build and sustain strong consumer brands
  • Previous accountability for an online trading site
  • Experience of managing multiple brands within one organisation
  • Considerable experience of managing significant multi-million euro budgets
  • Proven experience utilizing consumer data and converting into strategic insights
  • Own and leverage key relationships with major partners to significantly enhance marketing insight and access
  • Ability to organise self effectively, plan workload for self and team in the short and medium term
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of delivery of outcomes which drive business performance
  • Previous relevant experience at contributing to an organisation a senior level – Head Of/Director
  • Change management experience that can be utilized in a change organisation
  • 5-7 years’ experience of Marketing management
  • 2-3 years’ experience of E-commerce management
  • Have a deep understanding of traditional and innovative Marketing
  • Passionate about online retail

Education/Qualifications

  • Educated to Masters Level
  • Marketing/Business/Sales/Retail Degree or relevant qualification
  • MII Qualification

  • A natural leader, in this role you will be required to lead not only your direct teams but contribute to leading the entire organisation
  • Effective decision maker that instils confidence in stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills are required to ensure that you communicate effectively with your team, with the wider business and with any external partners
  • A strategic thinker who is results driven with strong commercial acumen
  • An innovative thinker who has their finger on the pulse of best practice and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo
  • A passionate brand guardian who will always strive to enhance the reputation and distinctiveness of our brands
